  • Korea PTG Co., Ltd. has newly developed the manufacturing process of polytetramethylene ether glycol(PTMEG). This process utilizes the continuous production system of the most excellent quality with high consistency. PTMEG is synthesized by the polymerization of Tetrahydrofuran(THF).

    It is colorless and viscous liquid over room temperature. PTMEG is mainly used for production of polyurethane, elastomers, spandex fibers and copolyester-ether elastomers. Korea PTG has a variety of product specification with seven standard grades of molecular weights in 210, 650, 1000, 1400, 1800, 2000 and 3000.

    PTMEG products with other molecular weights can be produced upon special request of customers. Please contact our sales office for specific information.

PTMEG belongs to the class of polyether polyols which have excellent reactivity. It is
used to make a high quality of poplyurethane including spandex and copolyester-ether in
such applications as:
